Wesley Williams was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft after a standout collegiate career at Duke. A versatile and high-motor edge defender, Williams enters the NFL with a reputation for his physicality, relentless effort, and ability to impact the game against the run and as a pass rusher. During his time at Duke, he developed into one of the program’s top defensive players, earning team captain honors and recognition as the team’s Defensive MVP in 2025.
Williams became a key contributor for the Blue Devils after redshirting his freshman season. Over his Duke career, he appeared in 40 games with 17 starts, totaling 131 tackles, 36 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, five blocked kicks, and multiple All-ACC honors. His best season came in 2024, when he led Duke with 7.5 sacks and added 13.5 tackles for loss, earning honorable mention All-ACC recognition. In 2025, Williams continued his strong play as a team captain, recording 44 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and two sacks while earning another honorable mention All-ACC selection.
