Bhayshul Tuten is a dynamic and versatile running back and kick returner who has excelled at every level of football. In 2023, he showcased his playmaking abilities at Virginia Tech, starting all 13 games and racking up 1,633 all-purpose yards. Tuten rushed for 863 yards and 10 touchdowns, caught 27 passes for 239 yards and two scores, and dazzled as a kick returner with 550 yards and two touchdowns. His remarkable performance earned him All-American honors and multiple All-ACC accolades.
Before transferring to Virginia Tech, Tuten dominated at North Carolina A&T, rushing for 1,363 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2022, a season that ranks among the best in school history. His efforts earned him FCS Third-Team All-America and All-Big South First-Team honors.
A New Jersey native, Tuten was a standout at Paulsboro High School, where he tallied 3,768 rushing yards, 77 touchdowns, and numerous accolades, including Jersey Times Offensive Player of the Year. His speed and athleticism also shined on the track, where he recorded one of the fastest 60-meter times in South Jersey history.
